For the 34th year, the city of West Palm Beach will be hosting a 5 day music extravaganza on the Intracoastal Waterway.  SunFest provides a unique blend of music, food and activities that will keep all of the family entertained. Transportation options are also unique to this venue.  Not only are you welcomed to take your car and travel by land, boaters are welcomed and can anchor in the Intracoastal Waterway in front of the SunFest site. There will be water taxis available for the anchored boaters. The water taxis will take the boaters to the festival’s waterfront gate. The festival’s official area is on Flagler Drive from Banyan Boulevard to Lakeview Drive. During the 5 days there will be 3 different stages that will feature 50 bands.  To say the bands vary is to put it lightly. You have Duran Duran, Steve Aoki, Meghan Trainor, Salt N Pepa, Rick Springfield, Ethan Parker Band, Bobby Lee Rodgers, Mike Mineo to name a few. For a complete list and schedule of click here.

This is NOT a free event. Tickets can be bought in advance (online) and will vary from $45 a day to $18 a day when you purchase a 5 day pass. Kids under 5 are free to the event when accompanied by an adult. Youth tickets are available for 6-12 year olds. SENIORS have a break too at only $20 per day for a pass. For complete ticket information click here.

Activities

There are activities for all the family. The kidzone will have face painting, bounce houses and and a sand area for the kids to play in. For the ‘older kids’ the 3 Captain Morgan Floating barges will be returning. Each barge has its one fun—from the North Oasis sports themed barge, to the Middle Oasis also known as the “unofficial” party barge, and the South Oasis that has a tiki lounge.

Food

The Eatery is the newest part of SunFestivities. The SunFest group worked closely with the organizers of the annual Pam Beach Food & Wine Festival to provide a more enticing culinary experience. New this year are items such as: Nashville Hot Chicken, Veggie Rice Bowls in addition to its usual crowd favorites Tropical Pineapple Chicken, Island Noodles and signature flat-breads. This year, gluten-free options will also be available.

Arts & Craft Show

In addition to the variety of bands, there is a Juried Fine Art & Craft show. There will be more than 150 national artists exhibiting work that includes jewelry, textiles, paintings, pottery and ceramics, photography, sculpture, woodwork and crafts. The art portion of SunFest will take place Friday, April 29th to Sunday May 1st. For artist booth locations click here.

Fireworks

SunFest will close its festival with fireworks on Sunday, May 1st at 9pm
